Joe's Daily & Weekly Rhythm

Harmony is not equal time in every segment. It is full presence in each, with God at the center of all of them.

Measure by faithfulness, not output. When you miss a day, start again the next one. That is how the habit forms.

“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord.” Colossians 3:23

Focus verse

“Be still, and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10

The Day

Three meals, same times every day: breakfast at 7:30, lunch at the midday reset, dinner with the family. Protein at the center of each, with a fruit or veg.

  1. 6:00-6:45

    Morning anchor

Quiet time with God before phone or email. Scripture, prayer, surrender the day.

  2. 6:45-7:30

    Body anchor

Prayer walk outside. Same time each day so it becomes automatic. Gym on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, wherever the day allows.

  3. 7:30-8:00

    Breakfast Meal

Same breakfast most days, so there is one less decision before work.

  4. 8:00-12:00

    Work block 1

Deep focus on today’s top 3 priorities. Hardest work first.

  5. 12:00-12:45

    Midday reset Lunch

Lunch away from the desk, short walk, 5 minutes of stillness.

  6. 12:45-5:00

    Work block 2

    Calls, meetings, site visits, follow-ups.

  7. 5:00-5:15

    Work shutdown

Review the list, set tomorrow’s top 3, close the laptop. Work is done.

  8. Evening

    Personal / family Dinner

Be fully present. Meals, conversation, hobbies.

  9. 20-30 min

    Chosen rest

Name it (“I’m resting”), set a start and end. Rest received, not wasted.

  10. Bedtime

    Evening review

Where did I see God today? What am I grateful for? What do I release?

OptionalWhat went well today, and what led to it? What got in the way?

Transitions: Take a 60-second pause between segments. Breathe, pray, and let the last segment go before starting the next.

On a full day

Quiet time, move, shutdown. On travel days and slammed days, those three are the day.

The Week

Four anchors to set once a week.

Sabbath block

A few hours each week with nothing to produce.

Weekly review

30 minutes to look back and plan next week’s anchors.

Sunday. Your weekly check-in fits in here too.

Relationship

One intentional investment in family or friends.

Long-form time with God

A longer study, worship, or prayer time.

End-of-week reflection

Your Weekly Sheet

Your rhythm on one page, with the tracker and the reflection, to print each week.

Each day gets a tick for:

A good week is most boxes, not all of them. Missed days are never made up.

This sheet is yours. I won't ask to see it.
